These objects are from my private collection and heirlooms from my great-grandfather who was a great collector of worldwide silver and gold coins.
1) The 1887 Morgan Silver Dollar is a fascinating piece of history.
The striking quality varies, Deeply lustrous specimens as this object are harder to find, as the typical luster for this mintage tends to be dull and somewhat greasy.
The obverse text on the Morgan Dollar reads “Liberty; E Pluribus Unum; 1887.” The reverse text on the Liberty dollar reads “United States of America; In God We Trust; One Dollar; O.” The reverse of the Morgan Dollar has an eagle in the center with its wings spread and a wreath surrounding.
2) The 1923 Peace Silver Dollar bears the inscription “E Pluribus Unum” on the reverse, which translates to “Out of many, one.” This phrase reflects the unity of the United States. The obverse of the coin features a bust of Liberty with the year “1923” and the motto “In God We Trust.” The reverse displays an eagle sitting on a rock with rays in the background, along with the words “United States of America,” “E Pluribus Unum,” and “One Dollar”
