The Alan Parsons Project – Eve -is the fourth studio album by The Alan Parsons Project and was released in 1979. As with the previous albums, ‘Eve’ is a concept album, this time focussing on the theme of women in history and mythology. Each song on the album is dedicated to a different female figure, from historical figures such as Cleopatra to mythological figures such as Lilith. The album is characterised by the distinctive sound that The Alan Parsons Project has become known for, with lush arrangements, intricate production and ethereal vocals. Tracks like ‘Lucifer’ and ‘Damned If I Do’ became fan favourites and were played frequently. ‘Eve’ received favourable reviews upon its release and became a commercial success, cementing The Alan Parsons Project's reputation as one of the leading progressive rock acts of the late 1970s.
