It was painted by Japanese artist 上田萬秋 , Banshu Ueda (1968-1952).
The title of this work is「三枝之禮」"Sanshi-no-Rei".
The title is a beautiful Japanese proverb meaning that even birds have the sense of filial piety, and humans even more so.
(The dove is a courteous bird that perches on a branch three branches down from the branch where its parent bird perches. It is a metaphor for the fact that even birds know how to respect their parents.)
