Long John Silver is the seventh studio album by the American rock band Jefferson Airplane, and their last album of all new material until 1989. It was recorded and released in 1972 as Grunt
In July, the band embarked on a two-month tour of the United States, their first major tour since 1970.
Tour ended in September at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, with Balin as an encore.
The original vinyl LP release (1972) featured an album cover that folded into a replica of a cigar box.
The inside bottom of the box was covered with a photo of marijuana.

This is the fifth negative review (from 1978) this year that has to do with the shipping company and not with us. The situation is different for these customers, GLS did a top job here, as is the case with 99.95% of them, and delivered the package to Valencia within four days. Here is the text from GLS Shipping Company: Shipment delivered to the parcel shop Friday, 31 May 24 at 16:22 Mr Primo (buyer), claimed just a day ago that we had cheated him (charges are pending against him) and that we had not sent the package at all. Now he was at home (not the case at first?!) GLS did not try to deliver the package and delivered it to the parcel shop. Then he could not pick up the package there, after we explained to him that he did not have to do this, but only called (contact details were provided) and arranged a new delivery date, he wrote that he could not do this? Incredibly bad customer who keeps coming up with new stories from the "Thousand and One Nights"! BLACKGOLD Memorabilia

Käufer ist der Meinung,die Verkäufer sind nur für Ihn da.Droht nach 24 Stunden mit schlechter Bewertung in allen Foren. Nachdem er das Geld kulanterweise erhalten hat,sendet er an falsche Adresse. Nach vielen Recherchen haben wir das Los abgeholt und uns ist nun klar warum er so eilig hatte und auch nicht den angeblich beschädigten Karton bei GLS und direkt dem Zusteller reklamiert hat. Wir wissen nicht ob die LP ausgetauscht wurde,aber diese ist auch nicht in dem reklamierten Zustand,sondern hat auf Seite Zwei,nun erhebliche Kratzer,Cover ist eingedrückt und der OBI gerissen. Davon war bei Ihm keine Rede und dies war auch bei unserem Versand laut Bildern nicht so, ebenso wie der Kratzer,den er reklamiert.Da aber der Verkäufer Laut EU Recht wenig Möglichkeiten hat haben wir die Rücknahme zugesagt.Natürlich muss dann aber die LP so sein wie reklamiert und nicht noch zusätzlich Schäden aufweisen. Wir haben alles Dokumentiert und an Catawiki gesendet der Käufer ist nun blockiert,gut so!
