Introducing an original contemporary sculpture by NO1R, where street culture, movement and transformation collide in a bold and tactile form.

Titled “Nike Air Jordan: Gravity Is Optional”, this piece reimagines an iconic sneaker silhouette through a sculptural lens, elevating it beyond function into symbolism. Inspired by the idea of flight and elevation, the addition of wings at the heel transforms the object into a metaphor for transcendence, ambition and the human desire to rise above limits.

The form appears partially submerged, emerging from an organic base that feels raw, almost molten. This contrast between structure and chaos reinforces the tension between control and freedom, grounding and elevation.

Digitally sculpted and brought into the physical world through 3D printing, the piece is then manually reworked using plaster and polyurethane foam. These layers create a rich, textured surface that evokes aged metal or cast bronze, giving the sculpture a timeless, almost archaeological presence.

The result is a hybrid object where contemporary culture meets sculptural tradition, blending precision with raw imperfection.
