M. BURGAZ - Con limón

Denne (this) the painting emphasizes how important the moment of tea can be, and in reality any other moment. It is not just about drinking something. It is about choosing the accompaniment, in this case lemon, a citrus fruit that the artist represents many times and that even gives its name to a color. The environment that appears here is also important, the colorfulness, the prints... and now the viewer will imagine the company, the living room and the music that accompany this moment when it is decided that the tea will be with lemon!

María Burgaz (1970) knew from a very young age that her vocation was art. She began her training at the Escuela de Artes Decorativas in Madrid, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Painting in 1993. Later she completed her studies at FIT in New York.
Winner of competitions such as the Wellington Foundation, Professional Football Foundation, Mujer y Sociedad, Iberdrola-UEX, UNED, Eugenio Hermoso, Gran Casino de Torrelodones… her work, in addition to being part of the collections of these institutions, also appears in the municipalities’ collections such as Gibraleón, Valdemoro, Martos, Horche, Diputación de Alicante…
She has carried out dozens of solo and group exhibitions both in Spain and abroad, and her work is also found in numerous private collections worldwide.
Her industrious and enthusiastic spirit has led her to participate in all kinds of projects and to collaborate with designers, writers and anything that allows her to express everything she carries inside. Her work always reveals the stage she is living, her vitality and her particular sense of humor and way of understanding life, always with mastery of techniques she combines and juxtaposes to create unique paintings of great narrative and technical richness.
Her works always include a certificate of authenticity and when they are on canvas they are shipped rolled in a rigid tube for greater safety.
