Beskrivelse fra selgeren

MITSO RAPP “SPECTRUM”
The object presents itself with immediate clarity: a precise, closed square, sharply defined and geometric.
Light does not simply settle on the surface but enters the work, passing through planes of color where it is diffused and subtly transformed. What lies within is never fully revealed, only suggested.
The work invites the viewer not simply to look at it, but to look with it. The object is complete, yet never fully visible at once. Seeing remains an ongoing act rather than a conclusion.

The artist:
Mitso Rapp works with acrylic and industrial materials to explore perception as a spatial condition shaped by light, color, and viewing position. His practice focuses on closed, geometric forms that act as containers for diffused light and withheld visibility. Sharp edges and resolved structures provide a stable framework for perceptual variation. The works resist immediacy, unfolding through duration and movement rather than direct representation. Rapp’s objects are complete yet perceptually open, treating seeing as an ongoing process rather than a fixed outcome.
Rather than producing images, Mitso Rapp constructs situations. The works exist between clarity and obscurity, presence and withholding. They are complete objects that remain perceptually open, grounded in the belief that meaning in art is not delivered, but gradually formed through attention, orientation, and time.

Installation Notes:
The work is designed for vertical wall installation and includes an integrated rear hanging system. It requires one screw anchored securely into the wall (appropriate to wall material). No additional hardware is necessary.

The piece should be hung flush against the wall, ensuring the acrylic surfaces do not come into direct contact with abrasive materials. Gloves are recommended during handling to avoid fingerprints on the acrylic.

The work contains no internal light source and no electrical components. It does not emit light. The visual effects are produced entirely through the interaction of the acrylic materials with ambient light, including natural daylight or standard gallery lighting.

No power supply, wiring, or technical setup is required.
