A rare limited edition of the portable collection of post-war and contemporary art La Lune en Rodage III. This is an unnumbered copy of 230 editions (65 hors commerce were unnumbered) and part of the third serie of the La Lune en Rodage books. La Lune en Rodage was published in three volumes in 1960, 1965 and 1977 containing a total of approximately 180 art pieces which provide an account of the artistic avant-garde scene between the 1950s and 1970s. The art works were gathered by Carl Laslzo and included the greatest artists of the time who contributed with important pieces, often marking a turning point in their production and carriers: Enrico Castellani’s work for example is his first documented graphic work and Piero Manzoni's multiple Achrome is the only one produced by the artist.

Lothar Schreyer studerte først kunsthistorie ved Universitetet i Heidelberg, deretter juss i Berlin og Leipzig. I 1910 disputerte han om litterært og kunstnerisk opphavsrett. Han begynte å skrive og samtidig ble han opplært hos Emil Milan i teaterregi. Mellom 1911 og 1918 jobbet han som dramaturg og regissørassistent ved Deutsches Schauspielhaus i Hamburg. I tillegg ledet han mellom 1916 og 1928 redaksjonen av Herwarth Waldens tidsskrift „Der Sturm“. Samtidig underviste han fram til 1924 ved Sturm-Schule for scenekunst og pantomime. I 1918 grunnla Schreyer sammen med Herwarth Walden den ekspresjonistiske Sturm-Bühne, som han ledet fram til 1921. I denne perioden ble også Schreyers første skuespill satt opp (f.eks. Kreuzigung, Kindssterben).

1921 ble Schreyer av Walter Gropius utnevnt til mester og leder for Bühnenwerkstatt ved Staatliches Bauhaus Weimar og underviste der til 1923. Etter fiaskoen med framføringen „Mondspiel” forlot han Bauhaus. Gjennom Adolf Behne fikk han en stilling ved Zentralinstitut für Erziehung und Unterricht i Berlin. I 1924 ble han styremedlem i grunnleggelsen av Waldorfschule i Berlin og deretter til 1927 midlertidig leder av Kunstschule Der Weg i Berlin.
