Biografi | LACRISS

Født i Roma i april 1990, opplever LACRISS kunst som en instinktiv nødvendighet: en virkelighet som alltid har tilhørt henne. Siden skoletiden dukket tegning opp som en naturlig kall: hun husker at hun aldri dro hjemme uten en blyant i lommen, som et amulett.
Når hun kjente seg lei av byens gråhet eller ute av takt med rytmen i en samtale, trakk hun den frem for å tegne og gi form til tankene sine, og til og med skape hele imaginære byer på kantene av aviser og papirservietter. Den blyanten var hennes skjold mot verdens banaliteter og bevis på at så lenge hun hadde et merke å etterlate, ville hun ha en virkelighet å inføre. Denne absolutte lidenskapen har i dag utviklet seg til en definert yrke.
Påvirket av urbant kultur, Street Art og fotografi, finner hennes arbeid sin plass i samtidskunsten med en rå og original stil. LACRISS utvikler et selvsikkert og instinktivt språk på lerret, hvor malingsdrypp, dristige akrylstrøk og sprøytemaling-overflater gjør området støvete i et harmonisk kaos. Bruken av mixed media—kull, blyanter, markører og blekk—genererer levende og fargerike verk som utstråler gatenes energi, samtidig som de beholder en monumentalt preg.
