Unknown - Epic Poetry - Diwan - 1760

Et gammelt, opplyst manuskriptblad fra et divan datert ca. 1760, som inneholder en utsmykket overskrift, hvor den sentrale kartuschen vanligvis ville hatt en kapitteloverskrift eller diktets navn, men nå er delvis utslettet. Versene er lagt diagonalt (chalipa), skrevet i elegant nasta'liq-tekst, et kjennetegn ved persisk lyrisk poesi, spesielt ghazaler, hvor couplets er ordnet i skrå linjer over to kolonner i stedet for horisontalt.

Innholdet er nesten helt sikkert ghazal-vers bygget rundt temaer som kjærlighet, lengsel, den elskedes skjønnhet, vin som symbol på guddommelig eller jordisk beruselse og den flyktige naturen til det verdslige livet.
