Original Painting by Miki Meguro
Size: 62.5cm×53cm
Size category: Medium
Acrylic and resin on wood board
Painted in 2019

Created at the moment my creative passion returned, this abstract acrylic painting is an exploration of the inner landscape.
Deep, textured red rises from surrounding matte black, while soft pink light gently emerges above. A quiet journey from darkness to renewal, expressed through color, texture, and emotion.
Artist: Miki Meguro
Born in Tokyo, Japan. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Tokyo. Grown up in artistic family.
Her father is a designer, her mother is a Japanese style painter and her grandfather was a
cartoonist. She has put on many solo shows and many group shows( more than 150 shows) in Tokyo, N.Y., London, Paris and etc since 1998.
Has started to join some Art Fairs such as “Red Dot Art Fair “"Art Expo New York" “Art Shopping” "Art 3F" "World Art Dubai" since 2014.
She also organizes collaboration events with musicians and various creators. And recently she organizes international exhibitions for Japanese and foreign artists as a curator.
Her paintings show the inner world of her life, getting inspiration from music, relationship, nature and contemporary society.
A tree has been her main theme since 1995. It symbolizes life.
Also inspired by Tokyo where she was grown up and represents the harmony of the city and nature, featuring various emotion and drama of people living in the chaotic society.
Tree
A tree is my main theme since 1995. A tree is the symbol of life for me.
The roots grow deeper into the ground, the branches grow up to the sky.
I want people to live like an energetic tree, going through many paths like branches of the tree.
Trees represent the life and the modern society.
Rose
Rose is the symbol of “Love” for me. There are many types of Love.
It’s happy, painful, sad, peaceful, passionate, etc.
It’s close to you or something that embraces the whole world. Not only love, but we’ve been influenced by various feelings from experiences and relationship with people.
And they give us many thoughts and lead us somewhere. That is what I represent.
Landscape/Abstract
I was born and grew up in Tokyo. I’m still living there.
Tokyo is the city filled with energy and everything changes so quickly and at the same time,
there are quiet nature and tradition. I’ve been influence by the environment.
My art work represents the harmony of the city and nature and it also features various emotion and drama of people living in the chaotic society in the city.
Fantasy
Features fantasy dreamy healing world inspired by intuition.
