Beskrivelse fra selgeren

En fantastisk sølvplatert lommeurholder som ble gitt som gave i 1886.
Designed and manufactured by Carl Robert Carlstöm, a multi-generational family business active in Stockholm from 1863 to 2020.

The holder is highly detailed and is made in a beautiful Neo-Renaissance design.
It stands on a domed base, on it, a sculptural winged cherub holds the watch receptacle. This upper bowl is sculpted as a seashell, where the pocket watch sits. On the top of the shell there is a dolphin, its upturned mouth serves as the hook for the pocket watch's bow.

There is a hand-engraved dedication on the lower rim of the base.
The inscription is worn and is difficult to read, but you can clearly see the date at the end that reads 27/7, 1886 - all visible in the photos above.

The condition is lovely. The piece is structurally sound with no breakage, repairs, or dents. It has developed a rich, deep patina. In some areas the silverplating is a bit worn, exposing the golden metal underneath.

A wonderful piece that is 140 years old in a magnificent design.
