Conversations vokste ut av en fascinasjon for møter. De øyeblikkene når mennesker fra forskjellige steder, kulturer, erfaringer og veier finner seg i samme rom og, bevisst eller uventet, begynner å knytte seg til hverandre. Hvert møte setter et avtrykk. Hver utveksling forandrer på subtile måter måten vi ser verden og dem rundt oss på.
Komposisjonene reflekterer kompleksiteten og skjønnheten i menneskelig sameksistens. Noen forbindelser er umiddelbare og naturlige; andre er mer subtile, skjøre eller uventede. Som i livet beholder hvert element sin egen identitet samtidig som det bidrar til skapelsen av noe felles.
Conversations er en feiring av mangfold, utveksling og muligheten til å finne felles grunn utover våre forskjeller. Det er en refleksjon over måtene livene våre krysser hverandre, veves sammen og fortsetter sine reiser transformert av andres nærvær. Gjennom geometrien og fargene søker serien å gjøre synlig det usynlige stoffet av forhold, dialoger og delte erfaringer som binder oss sammen, og som minner oss om at vi, på en eller annen måte, alle er en del av den samme samtalen.

My work falls within the realm of contemporary geometric abstraction, where structure and intuition coexist. Through circles, lines, and planes of color, I explore visual relationships that oscillate between compositional order and the spontaneity of gesture.
While my practice engages with Bauhaus principles—formal clarity, balance, and the use of geometry—it is distinguished by the incorporation of gestural textures that activate negative space. These material surfaces, worked with greater freedom, generate a tension between control and expressiveness.
In contrast, positive space is constructed through defined geometric forms—circles, ovals, triangles, and chromatic planes—organized with structural precision. These forms function as visual units that generate rhythm, hierarchy, and balance within the composition.
The coexistence of textured surfaces og sharp geometric elements establishes a dialogue between gesture and structure. Color, applied in saturated and contrasting planes, acts as an organizing element that guides the eye and reinforces the internal dynamics of the work.
In my various series, I address themes such as human relationships, memory, migration, spirituality, and social issues, translated into an abstract and synthetic language. These references are not presented literally, but rather integrated into the compositional structure through tensions, balances, and connections between forms.
My work thus proposes a contemporary geometric language that combines formal rigor and expressive freedom, inviting both an analytical reading of the composition and a direct visual experience.

Biography:
Miriam CHiera is an Italian-Argentine contemporary artist based in Senigallia, Italy. She studied Interior Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina, and also studied art at the Verona Academy of Art, Italy.
She was born in a small town in Argentina, surrounded by vast expanses of countryside, to a family of Italian immigrant farmers. Although her roots are steeped in Italian culture, her art carries the spirit of the land where she grew up. Small marks and symbols are scattered across her canvases, interweaving cubism, constructivism and abstract geometry with the essence of her work: the language of color.
Surrounded by the immensity of nature, with infinite horizons and a deep sense of freedom, she found inspiration in large-scale creations. Although she studied Interior Design at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, her path to painting began in her early years, it was during her residency in the city of Romeo and Juliet, where she studied at the Accademia di Arte in Verona, when she realized that painting was her true calling.
Miriam CHiera's works have been selected to be exhibited in international competitions, galleries, museums and events.

Today she lives in Senigallia, Italy, after traveling through many cities: Milan, Verona, Ancona, Barcelona, ​​​Manchester, Buenos Aires, Rosario and her hometown, Ceres. Each place has left its mark on her art, shaping the vision and expression that flows through her work.

Artist Statement:
A work of art is far more than a fashionable object, a fleeting trend, or a decorative element designed to solve a spatial issue. I create paintings with the hope that they become a window through which you can tell yourself a story-where the art interacts with your life in a meaningful way.
Each piece carries its own imprint, a soul, an energy that transforms it into a living presence within your space. My aspiration is for my art to move you, to evoke a desire to possess it, to immerse yourself in its essence, and to enjoy its company each morning as you stand before it.
