Anthony Trollope (/ˈtrɒləp/ ⓘ TROL-əp; 24. april 1815 – 6. desember 1882)[2] var en engelsk romanforfatter og statstjenestemann i viktoriansk tid. Blant hans mest kjente av de 47 romanene er to serier på seks romaner hver, samlet kjent som Chronicles of Barsetshire og Palliser-romanene, samt The Way We Live Now. Hans romaner tar opp politiske, sosiale og kjønnsmessige spørsmål og andre aktuelle temaer.[3] Han skrev også en selvbiografi, en bok om William Makepeace Thackeray, en bok om Lord Palmerston, fem reisebøker, og 42 noveller.

Trollopes litterære omdømme dalte i løpet av de siste årene av hans liv,[4] men han gjenvant noe av sin følgerkrets innen midten av 1900-tallet.
