Beskrivelse fra selgeren
The Last Offering
Dimensjoner: 105 × 85 cm
Medium: akryl på lerret
Dato: juli 2026
A bold black form curves protectively around a single crimson mark, creating a moment suspended between surrender and preservation. The circle remains intentionally incomplete, suggesting that what is most valuable is never fully possessed, only entrusted.
The solitary red offering becomes the emotional centre of the composition. It may represent a memory, a sacrifice, a promise or the final fragment of hope. Surrounded by textured metallic greys and an expressive black gesture, the work invites the viewer to consider what they would choose to protect, and what they would be willing to leave behind.
Minimal in form yet rich in symbolism, The Last Offering explores themes of devotion, vulnerability and the quiet strength found in letting go.
Sonia Anton is a Romanian Australian contemporary artist whose work explores emotion through abstraction, texture and bold minimalist forms. Growing up surrounded by art in her mother’s atelier in Antibes, France, she developed a fascination with colour, balance and the expressive power of simplicity. Her paintings are held in private collections across Romania, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Portugal. Each work is created as a unique original, inviting viewers to discover their own meaning within the composition.
