National Panasonic RE-787B AM FM Receiver Set

The National Panasonic RE-787B is a rare and distinctive Japanese vintage receiver from around 1967, combining an AM/FM radio tuner with an integrated stereo amplifier and matching loudspeakers. It is a particularly interesting piece for collectors of early Japanese hi-fi equipment and vintage audio enthusiasts.

The RE-787B features a sophisticated semi-automatic motor-assisted tuning system, giving this receiver a unique character compared with conventional manual-tuning radios of the period. The amplifier section uses germanium transistors, while the matching loudspeakers use Alnico magnets, technologies characteristic of high-quality Japanese audio equipment of the 1960s.
