VISITORS is a series of small architectural scenes: miniature gallery rooms in which the human audience has disappeared and animals have taken their place. Cast in brass, each animal stands before an abstract work made from the sight of its own kind. The natural history museum once put animals in boxes for people to look at; here the box has been reversed, and the animal is the one who has come to look. Every room is built around its inhabitant, its colour, form and material drawn from the creature’s own world, so that the encounter reads as a homecoming to a portrait that no longer has an author. The scale completes the loop. The rooms are small enough that you must lean in, which puts you exactly where the brass animal is: outside the artwork, looking into a space you were not built for. You are also a visitor. You are also late.

TALASKY (b. 1990), born as Gyula Takacs, is a multidisciplinary ungarsk kunstner, utdannet arkitekt, og industridesigner. Hans arbeid blandes strukturell tenkning med konseptuell uttrykk, ved bruk av både digitale og håndlagde teknikker. Kunstneren har mottatt internasjonale priser og anerkjennelser innen design og kunst, og kunstverkene hans har blitt samlet inn og solgt i mer enn 20 land i Europa, Asia og Nord-Amerika. Han har stilt ut sitt arbeid i både soloutstillinger og gruppeutstillinger i Europa, inkludert Milano, Helsinki, Berlin og Budapest. Under kunstnernavnet TALASKY lager han dristige, pop-up mixed-media-verk som utforsker geometri, levende fargekombinasjoner.
