Een zeer gedetailleerde, traditionele Ashanti (Asante) Kuduo-pot uit Ghana, West-Afrika.Dit ceremoniële vat is met de hand vervaardigd volgens de eeuwenoude cire perdue-methode (verlorenwasmethode). Dit type potten werd historisch door de Ashanti-elite gebruikt voor het veilig opbergen van goudstof, kostbaarheden en rituele talismannen.Bijzonderheden & Symboliek:Dekselscène: Centraal op het deksel staat een figuratieve voorstelling van een zittend stamhoofd of koning onder een ceremoniële parasol. De parasol is bekroond met een vogel (mogelijk het Sankofa-symbool). Rondom de koning bevinden zich wachters en hovelingen.Behuizing: De buik van de pot is versierd met traditionele geometrische zaagtandpatronen (driehoeken) en verticale lijnen.
