Description

All My Selves is an expressive figurative portrait exploring the many identities, emotions and contradictions that can exist within one person. Bold areas of red, yellow, green, blue and turquoise overlap across the face, suggesting a self that is constantly changing rather than fixed.

The loosely painted figure feels both confident and introspective. Its vivid colours convey energy and individuality, while the softer background creates a dreamlike sense of memory and inner reflection. Each shape appears to reveal a different version of the same person—joyful, guarded, vulnerable and strong—all existing at once.

About the Artist

Sonia Anton is a Romanian-Australian self-taught artist based in Bucharest. Raised in a creative environment in Antibes, France, she grew up surrounded by art in her mother’s atelier.

Having lived across Europe, Australia and Mexico, Sonia draws inspiration from the people, cultures and emotions she has encountered throughout her life. Her work combines abstract and figurative elements, using expressive lines, layered forms and bold colour to explore identity, femininity and the complexity of human emotion.

Her paintings are held in private collections across Romania, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands.

Shipping

The artwork will be carefully removed from its stretcher bars and shipped rolled in a strong protective tube. It will require restretching by a professional framer after arrival. The stretcher frame and decorative frame are not included.
