1973 Citizen Custom V2 Automatic 6501 – EF Dial – NOS – Original Hangtag & Manual – JDM

An exceptionally well-preserved and apparently unworn Citizen Custom V2 automatic dating from October 1973, featuring a spectacular blue EF dial and faceted crystal.

The most striking feature of this watch is undoubtedly its dial. Citizen used the designation “EF Dial” for this distinctive dial finish. Its strongly faceted, prism-like geometric structure reacts dramatically to changing light, producing shades ranging from bright electric blue to deep blue and giving the dial an almost three-dimensional appearance.

The effect is complemented by the faceted crystal, substantial applied hour markers and broad hands, creating a very characteristic high-end Japanese 1970s design.

This example comes from old stock and is particularly attractive to collectors because it remains 100% original and is accompanied by its original Citizen hangtag with the period retail price of ¥17,200, as well as the original Japanese instruction booklet.
