Philips - FP 440 Platespiller

Philips FP440 Elektronisk lineært sporings-platespiller (1984)
Offered here is the Philips FP440, a vintage stereo turntable from Philips’ 1984 Hi-Fi range, presented in excellent condition. Its distinctive front-loading drawer lets you load a record without lifting a lid, making it particularly well suited to a shelf or a stacked Hi-Fi system.

The FP440 uses a servo-controlled linear-tracking tonearm. As the record plays, the arm travels in a straight line from the outer grooves towards the centre, following the same path used to cut the record. The combination of drawer loading and electronic tonearm control makes this an interesting piece for vinyl enthusiasts and collectors of 1980s Philips audio equipment.
