Austin - Champ - 1953

Barnfind: English military jeep for restoration, with extra parts. Delivered as part of the first Champs series to the British MOD on September 1953. This is a cargo Champ. According to the Austin Champ register, it was used as a fire truck until 1994. Apart from some military equipment, there is also an original siren. Rolls Royce 2.65 litre engine, chassis number 4302, 4-cylinder, petrol. Colour: olive green, RHD. Independent wheel suspension. 5 forward gears and 5 reverse gears. The previous owner from Groningen started to disassemble the vehicle, in particular the petrol tank and the rear brake system. Because of his age, he’s unable to finish the project. The Champ came out of a shed after many years. The following parts are missing: -The water jerrycan bracket for mounting on the boot, -The Blenco top. -Batteries -New Goodyear outer tyres, inner tyres and new rim flaps. The car is not in running condition, the engine is loose and goes around. There are extra parts and nice equipment to add some detail. The car is in as found condition, it is completely tax-free and exempt from vehicle inspections in the Netherlands. The full registration is valid and would need to be transferred. An export document can also be issued after payment of 20 euros. It can serve as a restoration project, donor/parts source, or cherished as a barn find. You are bidding on a hobby, not simply a classic! It can be used in or in front of a garage, shop window, paintball centre, karting track, a field along a motorway for advertising purposes. The car can be viewed and picked up in Abbenbroek, the Netherlands. Delivery is also an option, by arrangement. Please read the description and view the photos, these are a very important part of this lot.
