This Double Drum Rotary Stencil duplicator is in a rather good condition and covered with its original metal box. Height: 42cm - Width: 44cm - Depth: 34cm.

This machine inks the stencil with rollers, which are feeded with ink by tube.
In 1881, David Gestetner (1854-1939) invented a simple stencil perforator using what was called the Cyclostyle pen. The next step forward was the Rotary Cyclostyle in 1901. This was a rotary stencil machines allowing copies to be rolled out on a continuous basis. This discovery was the birth of office automation. Gestetner moved into London in 1906 and opened 'The Gestetner Works' at Tottenham Hale, North London. He employed several thousand people until the 1970's
A plate on back of machine includes this caution:
'Each sheet of Rotary Cyclostyle Paper and each Tube of Ink must bear my signature as follows - D. Gestetner'
