Dimensions 20 × 7.9 × 7.9 cm Kokeshi are wooden handmade artisanal dolls from Japan. The most prevalent theory is that they appeared during the Tempo period (1830 - 1843) in the mountainous Tohoku region. Initially, they were intended as toys for the children.
