Etruscan Pottery Plate with Herons Circa 680–670 BC - Subgeometric, probably Caeretan Dimensions: 50mm x 320mm; weight 855g This fantastic pottery shallow plate features a broad body resting on a short circular foot. On the reverse side, a captivating frieze of herons adorns the surface, capturing the grace and beauty of these majestic birds. The bottom of the foot is intricately decorated with crossed rays. Inside the bowl, large concentric red bands enhance its visual appeal and lend a sense of depth and richness to the overall design. This plate is equipped with holes for suspension. Cf.
