Old movies’ projector from the beginning of the 20th century... the back plate is missing which must have had the original brand logo, but it might very well be a "BAUER"..
At the time, ten years went by and the movies, then a new way to communicate, had already begun to fascinate the public; Eugen Bauer, two years after creating a small electrical and precision engineering workshop in Stuttgart, built his first projector.
This unit, designed for 35 mm films was equipped with four branched spools (“Malta cross spool”, a crank and a cold light illumination lamp, it already featured a spectacular innovation: the presence of a take-up reel, allowing for a continuous flow replacing the old method which obliged to collect the film in a basket after passing behind the lens.
Its dimensions are as follows: 150 cm high with the table and the tripods (which are not original) and 90 cm wide...
