“Abstract Composition” by Michał Lenartowicz is a striking example of contemporary gestural abstraction, in which movement, energy, and tension between form and color play a central role.
The painting is dominated by broad black and graphite brushstrokes arranged into circular, almost ring-like forms. These recurring shapes may evoke cycles, infinity, or rhythm, yet they are far from geometrically precise—they are dynamic and rough, as if created in a single impulsive gesture. Visible traces of friction, variations in pressure, and breaks in the line emphasize the physicality of the act of painting.
In contrast to the restrained palette of black, gray, and off-white, intense, blood-red accents immediately draw attention. The red is not decorative; it feels like a sudden rupture, an emotional eruption, or an intrusion of chance. For years, we have had great fondness for the color of gold and we use it most often in our paintings. In addition to golden paintings, you can also admire our multicolored abstractions, they add a lot of positive energy to a modern interior.
