“100 Bitcoin” by Michał Lenartowicz is a bold, multi-layered abstract composition that combines the language of gestural painting with the symbolism of contemporary economics and technology.
An intense color palette—reds, blues, yellows, and greens—dominates the canvas, applied energetically with visible traces of movement, splashes, and abrasions. This expressive approach creates a sense of chaos, tension, and constant motion, evoking the volatility of financial markets and the dynamic nature of the cryptocurrency world.
At the center of the composition appears the clearly legible inscription “100 BTC,” which stands in contrast to the abstract background. The letters and numbers seem partially “submerged” in layers of paint—as if the symbol of value were simultaneously present and threatened, only seemingly stable. This can be read as a reflection on the fragility of value, its arbitrariness, and its dependence on social and technological contexts.
The lines, cracks, and intersecting marks visible throughout the painting resemble charts, networks, or data trajectories. They may be interpreted as a metaphor for blockchain technology, the flow of information and capital, but also as traces of intervention, tension, and conflict inherent in modern economic systems.

For years, we have had great fondness for the color of gold and we use it most often in our paintings.
