In Merlot, Luise Konstantin utilizes her signature "Dynamic Flow" style to create a vast, immersive field of cool-toned energy. Despite its warm title, the composition is a deep dive into an atmospheric palette of royal blue and velvet purple, establishing a sense of midnight depth.
The work is defined by sweeping, interlacing gestural brushstrokes that surge horizontally across the canvas in rhythmic, serpentine arcs. Luminous ribbons of turquoise and electric blue cut through the darker violet foundation, mimicking the play of light on a moving liquid surface or the swirling complexity of a fine vintage.
