Laphroaig Batch 17 is the result of this meticulous work: an authentic, uncompromising whisky, golden in colour after ten years of maturation and bottled at 58.3% ABV. By barrier filtering from the cask to remove charcoal particles and preserve its purity, we remain true to its powerful, diverse character.

This bottling offers our signature wild notes of peat smoke, heather and sea salt combined with the spice of sweet fruit with apple compote, vanilla cream and pears in syrup.
Nose: Sweet, bold and smoky. A spicy version with notes of candied apple slices, crème brûlée and sugar pastries.
Taste: Initially, sweet and fruity aromas dominate, such as apple compote, vanilla cream and pears in syrup, followed by a wave of sea salt, herbal smoke, fresh seaweed and a hint of cooling menthol.
Finish: Very long with black pepper and its tingly spiciness, old leather and sweet grassy smoke, which turns into a tarry peat aroma.
