Story of flowers Junichi Ohno Byblos/1997/Japanese/185*245*13 Hana no Hanashi" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Junichi Ohno. Born in Kobe in 1968, Ohno is a self-taught photographer who made his debut in 1990 at the age of 21 when his photographs of roses were discovered by musician Ryuichi Sakamoto. His work of roses was shown around the world, and was featured in the British, American, and Italian photography magazine "ZOOM," and solo exhibitions were held throughout Europe. Since his debut, he has continued to shoot portraits of celebrities for various media while also producing his own work. For the first time since the end of World War II, he became a lecturer at Tama Art University, Tokyo Visual Arts, and Tokyo Designer Gakuin with a junior high school diploma, where he trained many young artists over a period of seven years. This work is a collection of portrait and nude photographs using amateur women as models. The afterword is by Japanese novelist and haiku poet Kyoji Kobayashi. The book also includes a text in which Junichi Ohno himself interviewed each of the girls who appear in the book as models in his own unique way.
