ConsideredObjects - also on Etsy I studied art history, specializing in modern and contemporary art. I guess my father, an avid collector of art glass, gave me an eye for detail and a lasting interest in objects that somehow stand out. What I choose is largely intuitive. An object has to catch my eye and trigger a sense that there is something worth looking at more closely. I enjoy doing the research, to understand why I noticed that quality in the first place — and I often to discover something I did not know before. There is a lot of misinformation in the vintage design world, often leading to incorrect attributions to famous designers, factories or glassworks. I choose to do things differently. At ConsideredObjects, accuracy is key: I never make claims I cannot thoroughly research or prove. Everything offered here is something that I myself find worth having and that I feel confident to pass on to its next appreciative owner.
