For such a small package weighing 1 kg, a €30 shipping fee is way too high. And: I am familiar with international postage rates

I find this comment rather surprising. The €30 shipping fee included GLS delivery to Germany, as well as the packaging materials required to ship the item safely. Shipping costs are clearly stated before purchase, so this should not have come as a surprise. If €30 is considered “way too high” for a carefully packaged 1 kg parcel delivered to Germany, perhaps it would be worth checking international shipping rates before making such comments. 🤔 Since you say you are familiar with international postage rates, I don't really understand what the problem is. In any case, I wish you all the best.
