This watch was made for members of the 2001 Subaru Top Team (WRT winners of the drivers championship in 2001). Only 15 were produced. This is a rare Breitling with a movement specially designed for Breitling. The Caliber 69 (with 28 rubis) is a Frederic Piquet Meca-Quartz movement with mechanical module for the rattrapante mechanism (split times with flyback hand), which runs great and all functions work as expected. This caliber was only used between 2000 and 2002. This model features a blue original dial Breitling with tachymetric scale, covered by a sapphire crystal and graced by a small seconds sub-dial, 30-minute recorder and 12-hour recorder, signed "Breitling", "Chronographe", "Rattrapante". Watch have central hour and minute hands, also date indicator between 4 and 5 o'clock, also watch have two chronograph hands. An interesting design feature is the Breitling logo at the end of the chronograph hands. It is divided over the two hands, so when the rattrapante is engaged, the logo splits—only to be re-united when the rattrapante hand is reset. The rotating bezel with 60 minute scale, is mounted on a 40mm (1,57 inch) stainless steel case excluding the crown and 44mm (1,73 inch)from lug to lug is in very good condition, with minor surface scratches that are to be expected on any watch of this age. The open back lid signed "Manufacture En Suisse", "Subaru Top Team 2001", "Chronographe", "30M", "A69048", "2028". The winding crown is completely original. The watch is presented on neutral black leather strap around 24,5 cm (9,64 inch) including the watch case, with original stainless steel "Breitling" buckle. Also this watch has another blue neutral leather strap around 24,5 cm (9,64 inch), with neutral buckle. Please See photos.
