Breitling - original vintage Breitling-Sprint Mono-pusher Chronograph ultrarare - Homem - Ca. 1927

In real museum quality, unique worldwide. Breitling Sprint, unique beautiful steel chronograph of size 36 mm "step case" casing (measured without crown) from circa 1927, a unique oversize for this period. In the 1930s, chronographs were normally only 30-32 mm in size. Today, very high prices are paid at auction for such early watches with oversize "step case". All parts of the watch are in the original condition, a collector's dream can't get any better. Casing no. 316608; pressed back This is a patented mono-button chronograph, one of the first developed by Gaston Breitling, the son of Leon Breitling, the founder of the company. It has a Breitling Montbrillant intermediate wheel calibre with 14 lines, in full working order and recently serviced. 100% original dial with wonderful, beautifully even patina with the inscription "Sprint". With telemeter/tachymeter scale. Until around 1932, before the company was taken over by Willy Breitling, Breitling was not allowed to sign dials with "BREITLING" because the naming rights had belonged to the earlier company Breitling-Laederich since 1840. At that time, dials were inscribed with Montbrillant, Sprint, Koko or Vitesse. However, for the most part, nothing was inscribed on the dials (see Benno Richter page 13). Original blue hands Black calfskin strap with buckle, after market Strap length: 21 cm; lug width: 19 mm Insured shipment.
