An EXTREMELY rare copy of Robert Louis Stevenson timeless classic "Treasure Island" published by Cassell in 1911 and illustrated with 12 colour illustrations by John Cameron!!!! Book in good condition. Bound in red cloth with the author’s initials in gilt design to upper cover and spine, top edge gilt. Covers have some edge rubbing wear, some bumping to corners, fading to spine end rear spine edge, internally there is heavy foxing present to opening and closing pages, lesser foxing within, some creased page corners, page edges untrimmed. Two pages, 45 and 57, have had some pen scribbling in the past, this has been mostly erased, but has left some of the words on those pages a little faded (see pIcture). One plate with light repair on margin with blank tape, one plate with light wear upper margin-see photo. Ffe apparently missing. A good example of a very RARE book.
