Titles and beautiful Art Nouveau gilt decorations on the spine, marbled boards with gilt fillets, gilt top edge, marbled endpapers, pp. (6)-93-(4) of text + 206 illustrations in black & white and color, executed with various techniques (chromolithography, photogravure; some plates are hand-colored), and occasionally applied to the pages. A work of remarkable charm and typographic beauty, printed on paper by Perrigot-Masure at Frazier-Soye. Photogravures by Fortier et Marotte; watercolors by Saudé. Traces of well-executed restoration to the hinges (with two reinforcing strips inside, in marbled paper), very slight abrasions to the edges and corners, ownership signatures on the title page.
