Most freshwater pearls are nucleated by tissue, but Edison cultured pearls are nucleated with beads, exactly as saltwater pearls This necklace contains 38 Edison Pearls which were chosen for their bright luster that can be compared with that of high-end saltwater pearls, and for their unique vivid multi colours. The pearls measure 11x12mm in diameter. The necklace is strung by hand with knots between each pearl for safety and is completed with a secure invisible clasp. One end pearl receives a fine quality screw and the other end pearl a bolt mechanism. The clasp easily functions by gently twisting it counter clockwise to unlock, and clockwise to lock. Upon closure, the screws are fully hidden offering a clean and elegant look. At the length of 46cm , the necklace sits nicely under the collarbone.
