Falstaff über: Chateau Pontet Canet 5eme Cru -- Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Erstmals seit 2011 ist der Merlotanteil wieder etwas höher, das Bukett entsprechend mehr von Herzkirschen geprägt, als vom üblich Cassis de Pauillac, zart nach Nougat und Karamell, feine Kräuterwürze. Kraftvoll, engmaschig, zeigt gute Süße, schokoladiger Touch, reife Tannine, große Komplexität, tolle Länge und Würze, eine sehr eigenständige Persönlichkeit, ein Riesenversprechen für die Zukunft, was sich En Primeur bereitsb angekündigtte: dieser Wein hat alles, was ein Weltklassewein braucht. 100/100 Suckling über: Chateau Le Gay -- Suckling: This is a luscious and beautiful young wine with blackberry, hazelnut, dark-chocolate and black-olive character. It’s full and layered with round, soft tannins and a caressing finish. Great finish. Seductive young wine. Best after 2027 and onwards. 98/100 Parker über: Chateau Beausejour Duffau-Lagarrosse 1er Grand Cru Classe B -- Parker: Composed of 86% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Beausejour (Duffau Lagarrosse) was harvested from the 24th of September to the 7th of October. Yields were 45 hectoliters per hectare this year with about 60% of production going into the grand vin. Deep garnet-purple in color, the nose is deceptively forward to begin, giving a wonderful intensity of Morello cherries, wild blueberries and boysenberries scents, soon unfurling to reveal more and more layers: pencil lead, cast-iron pan, wilted roses, oolong tea and charcoal with a hint of garrigue. The medium to full-bodied palate is charged with energetic, crunchy black fruits, framed by firm, grainy tannins and tons of freshness, finishing very long and minerally. If this delivers on its promise, it should be very long-lived indeed! About 2,000 cases are anticipated to be made. 96-98/100
