Collection of 4 different vintage : 2003/04/05/06 “The wines of Sociando-Mallet are dressed in a remarkably dark, almost inky robe, hinting at the incredible concentration they possess. The vines, averaging around thirty years old, cover 85 hectares of soils composed of Günz gravel and a clay-limestone subsoil. This climate produces robust wines in their youth, which refine and become magnificently rich and supple with age. The powerful red fruit aromas, deliciously expressed by raspberry, are then adorned with subtle touches of toasted bread. The château is particularly known for the subtle woody notes perfectly integrated into the structure of its wines. To achieve this distinctive character, the juices undergo a meticulously controlled 12-month aging process in barrels. Do not hesitate to keep this wine for twenty years to discover an incredibly deep wine. A duck stew or kidneys flambéed with cognac would be the perfect companions for the most delightful enjoyment…”
