Assayer's mark by goldsmith Guilherme Faria Vilaça (1870 to 1886)
Referenced in the Casa da Moeda inventory with number P-287.
Very visible marks.
Chiselled handles, finished with a notable stylized plant decoration (acanthus leaves).
All spoons have the “burilada” test mark (usually called “bicha”, in Portuguese), which corresponds to the famous zigzag mark produced in the 19th century, by the burin which confirms that the silver content complies with the Law.
