The bear’s right paw has a drilled hole, originally intended as a small holder (e.g., for a tiny flower, decorative pick, or similar). I placed a flower as an example (flower not included). The piece sits on an attached base and has a strong folk-art / souvenir character, making it a lovely decorative object for collectors of Japanese vintage items.
