If an item exceeds the specified size or weight, it may be shipped in multiple packages. ----- Signed Watanabe Sadami (1917-1994) Born on March 8, 1917 (Taisho 6) in Tsuchiyu, Fukushima, as the second son of Jisaku Watanabe and Iku of Yamane Aizuya. His grandfather was Kinsaku, and his great-grandfather Watanabe Waemon. He initially followed his father’s work in forestry and traditional craft, later training in woodturning from January 1967 under his younger brother Hitoshi, and began making kokeshi dolls in March 1968. In 1968, upon the recommendation of Tokio Shikama, he successfully produced the Kumematsu, Yonekichi, and Yukichi styles. The Yonekichi and Yukichi types made in September were selected for the 2nd distribution of the Kokeshi Yume-mei Association. From April 1971, his son-in-law Tadao Watanabe became his apprentice. Signed Watanabe Sadami (1917-1994)
