When examining the letters in this scroll, you'll notice that many of them feature small spikes at their tops, known as tagin or ketarim—the Aramaic and Hebrew terms for “crowns.” Sometimes these are also referred to as zayins, due to their resemblance to the Hebrew letter zayin (ז) protruding from the top of the letter.
You are bidding on a rare hand-written Torah Bible Fragment from the book of Deuteronomy that came from Morocco and is written in the Original Hebrew Language on Deer Parchment. Based on its paleographic characteristics and the nature of the skin, it is likely that this fragment was created in Morocco during the 17th century.
