Artist Profile Yamashita Joji (1947-) was born in Tokyo and is one of Japan's respected Bizen pottery artists. Throughout his career, Yamashita has achieved remarkable recognition in the Japanese ceramics world. His works have been selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition on 15 consecutive occasions starting from 1980.
