Superbe vase japonais en grès, de grande taille, décoré d'un dragon en relief évoluant parmi les nuages. Le col est richement orné de motifs floraux en moriage (émaillage en relief) avec dorures, dans le style des céramiques Satsuma modernes. Le corps présente un dégradé brun-noir profond caractéristique des ateliers japonais du XXe siècle. La signature sous la base, peinte au pinceau, se lit /lIT # (Kawajüi ou Kawajui), correspondant à un atelier ou potier japonais actif au milieu du XXe siècle. The upper section is decorated with raised moriage elements and -and-applied gilding, in the le of mid-20th century Satsuma-inspired wares. The body shows a deep brown-to-black gradient glaze, typical of kiln productions from the Kyoto-Seto region. The signature on the underside, painted with a brush, reads /|IT# (Kawajui or Kawajui), corresponding to an indeper ent Japanese potter or wor Yop active during the mid-20th century. The piece is thick-walled, heavy, and well-balanced, showing high-quality craftsmanship.
