Description
Elegant Roman glass bottle with a rounded globular body and a wide flaring neck.
Blown in a pale green glass, with a beautiful natural weathering layer and areas of mineral deposits typical of long burial in the Levant.
This type of vessel was used to contain oils or liquids and represents one of the more refined blown-glass shapes of the Eastern Roman provinces in the 2nd–3rd century AD.
A well-proportioned example of uncommon size.
