Title Two Chinese Export Porcelain Plates – Kangxi period (1662–1722) Description Two Chinese export porcelain plates, dating to the Kangxi period (circa 1700), decorated in famille verte / Imari palette. Both plates feature finely painted floral motifs, one in a typical Imari-style composition and the other with a grapevine design, made for the European market. The colour palette, glaze tone and foot rims are consistent with late 17th–early 18th century Chinese export porcelain. The plates show a pale bluish glaze, well-potted bodies and neatly cut foot rims with iron firing marks, all characteristic of Kangxi export wares. Condition Both plates show a fine hairline to the base, consistent with age and use. Minor rim frits and firing imperfections visible. No restoration or repainting.
