花瓶 - 陶器 - 日本 - Meiji period (1868-1912) - Kusube Satsuma Vase (没有保留价)

Rare Meiji Period Signed Kusube Satsuma Vase – Fine "Bijin" & Mount Fuji Artistry. A stunning and exceptionally well-preserved example of Japanese Satsuma earthenware from the late Meiji period (1868–1912). This trumpet-necked vase features two large, masterful panels set against a deep cobalt blue ground, richly embellished with intricate gilt floral and geometric borders. Principal Panel: A serene landscape featuring the iconic snow-capped Mount Fuji in the background. The foreground is populated by a group of elegantly dressed Bijin (beautiful women) and children in a traditional garden setting, rendered with delicate facial features and vibrant polychrome enamels. Secondary Panel: Depicts a graceful solitary female figure amidst lush seasonal flora, including blooming peonies and camellias. Craftsmanship: The piece exhibits the classic ivory-tinted, finely crackled glaze synonymous with Kyoto Satsuma. Elevated gold moriage work adds a luxurious tactile dimension to the kimonos and decorative borders. Condition: The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or visible restorations. The original gilding remains remarkably bright, and the intricate enamel work is crisp and well-defined. Minor age wear on gold gilding at some points. Maker: Signed Kusube (楠部) in gold within a rectangular cartouche on the base. Height: 24 cm. Rim Diameter: 18 cm. Base Diameter: 12.5 cm. This signed Kusube piece is a quintessential example of Meiji-era technical mastery, perfect for a serious collector of Japanese art. Shipping with track and trace.Of course very carefully and safe packaged.Item can be picked up in Ekeren (Antwerpen,Belgium).
