The project came into being thanks to the dedication and know-how of the olive growers of Valpaços, who have been committed to the production of top-quality olive oil since 1951: a PDO extra virgin olive oil that continues to win awards in Portugal and around the world year after year. We are a Cooperative with over 2200 members, covering the municipalities of Valpaços, Mirandela and Vinhais and producing an annual average of 2 million litres of olive oil. We are located in Valpaços in the heart of Trás-os-Montes, in the cold, highlands of north-east Portugal. EXTRACTION PROCESS Superior category olive oil obtained directly from olives solely through mechanical processes. Our state-of-the-art machinery are capable of processing 800 tonnes a day. The olive oil is then stored on our 70 stainless steel storage tanks with a capacity of over 2,000,000 litres. TASTING NOTES Medium green fruit aroma of green olives and other fruits, with notes of almonds and a great sensation of green grass, it is bitter and peppery. SERVING For its organoleptic characteristics is ideal for salad dressings, fish, meat and other delicacies.
